When the developer of a new business park wanted to work with an architect who understood his goals and objectives he retained Lorenz Architecture. The Lorenz Architecture design team was tasked with designing multiple speculative and build-to-suit buildings in this park. One of these building is the Corporate Office of Jani-King. This 6,000 SF office building has a warm and welcoming atrium and lobby for clients and visitors and also lots of window to allow natural light for employees. The interior has several conference rooms, offices and open plan office areas, break areas, and a warehouse for storing supplies for its teams.

Out-growing a 900 square space on Union Street, Lorenz Architecture purchased property Cabarrus Avenue only a block from Center City. Following an office wide design competition, construction began on the sustainable 4,200 square foot building in the fall of 2008. In April of 2009, Lorenz Architecture moved into their new 2,200 square foot second floor sustainable office. Commercial Solar Tubes provide natural daylighting where artificial lights are not required. Recycled floor coverings were used as well as bamboo. Low flush toilets, instant hot water heaters and drought tolerant landscaping contribute to lower utilities.

Granger Construction has continued to grow and was in need of a new office for their Piedmont clients which will improve operations and be useful as a marketing tool to win future work. Based on successful previous projects they hired Lorenz Architecture to design their new corporate offices. The design team worked closely with the owner to develop a design that allowed them to showcase their construction talents, while maintaining costs so the project remained within budget. This 10,000 SF corporate office was completed in 2005.
