Bethel
AME Church was in need for a new worship facility to serve both
their congregation and the surrounding community. Lorenz Architecture
teamed with Randolph & Son Builders for this project, and
in an effort to meet the church's needs, the team proposed to
build this facility via the design build method. The reasoning
for this decision was it would reduce their costs and allow the
church to occupy the new facility sooner. During the selection
process the design-build team work closely developing elevations,
floor plans, schedule, and budget estimates for the church. The
new facility will include a large multi-purpose room to hold formal
and informal worship services, community events, and other gatherings.
It also has space for sunday school, administrative offices, and
choral room. |
