Grace
United Methodist has been experiencing growth in their congregation
and in response needed some extra space to meet the needs of their
community. Lorenz Architecture's design team met with the building
committee and developed various programs that could satisfy their
current and future needs. After presenting these options to the
church, the decision was made to proceed with a 20,000 SF two-story
addition that would serve as a classroom and education building.
The Youth department would occupy the upper floor and the lower
floor includes a commercial kitchen, additional meeting rooms
and offices. In order to properly blend the addition with the
existing buildings, the design team designed the building using
standard construction with a brick exterior and a shingled roof. |
