The Lorenz Architecture team consists of:



Paul Lorenz, AIA
- Principal/Owner

Paul received a Master of Architecture from the University of New York in Buffalo. He has worked in Western New York for four years, Charlotte for 6 years and Concord since 1999. Paul is registered in North and South Carolina and is a member of the National Council of Architecture Boards. Paul's background is in medical, office, historic, religious, residential, and retail architecture.

Jim Fulton,
Project Manager

Jim is a senior project manager with our firm, Jim attended the architecture program at the University of New York at Buffalo. He worked in Western New York for ten years. Jim moved to Concord in 2005. Jim's project experience is in historic, religious, residential, and public architecture.

Lee Shuman,
Project Manager

In 1999, Lee graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He has worked in Concord since 1999 and joined Lorenz Architecture in 2004. To date, Lee's background has been in religious, industrial, restaurant, and residential markets.

Cary Gluf,
Director of Motor sports design

Cary is the Director of Motor sports design for Lorenz Architecture. He is a graduate of the School of Architecture at the Ohio State University. Cary worked in Cleveland for a couple years before moving to Charlotte in 1985. His project management experience has been in the retail and the motor sports sectors.

John Webb, a senior CAD technician and renderer with our firm, received an Associates Degree in Architectural Drafting from Triangle Technical Institute in Erie, PA.  Since 1993 John has worked with firms In Pennsylvania and North Carolina.

Lori Michelle Royster,
Director of Interior Design

Lori graduates from Central Piedmont Community College as a member of Phi Theta Kappa with an Associate's Degree in Interior Design, a certificate in AutoCAD, and a certificate in Architectural Residential Design. Lori is a student member of the Interior Design Society. Her experience includes a Youth Center, Salon, Natural Harvest Foods, Dr. Pat London's Expansion, and Renovations to Lafave's Construction.

Ricky W. Long

Ricky graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte College of Architecture in 2004. He worked in Salisbury, NC for 6 years as an intern architect before coming to Lorenz in 2006. His expertise lies with 3D computer modeling, rendering, and graphics work. Ricky’s project experience includes: sustainable design, adaptive re-use, religious, residential, historic renovation and commercial projects.
